
I first joined
houstonfit in July of '06. Houstonfit is a great program for the beginning, intermediate, or advanced runner. I started out with a slower running group, but, as the training and mileage increased, I did not feel challenged. I moved up to the Advanced Training Program (ATP). The workouts are more intense and we meet 3 times a week verses 1 time a week. I'm not crazy about the 5:15am runs, but I don't have to run in 100 degree afternoon heat! The ATP program deffinately helped me obtain my goal for the 2007 Marathon. My personal goal was to finish my first marathon at an even 4 hours. I came in just under 4 hours at 3:56:27 last year.
